M5 through Gloucestershire to be partially closed for three months
Alert issued as road will be affected by Cheltenham and Tewkesbury
A stretch of the M5 through Gloucestershire is to be partially closed for three months.
Highways England has warned that overnight roadworks are due to take place from tonight and carry on until June 9.
That will require the closure of the northbound carriageway between the exit and entry slip roads at junction nine, the turning for Tewkesbury.
Also closed will be the northbound entry slip road at junction 10, one of the turnings for Cheltenham.
And the northbound exit slip road at junction nine will also be closed when the work takes place.
The organisation says the closures will be necessary to allow resurfacing, white lining, loop cutting, bridge joint works and associated maintenance to be carried out safely.
It says the work is expected to take place between 8pm and 6am and that during the project, there will be no hard shoulder and lane closures.
Diversion routes will be clearly indicated, according to the Bristol office of Highways England, which has advertised the measures.
