ADJ Surfacing | Revolutionising Shepley Industrial Estate
ADJ Surfacing have completed a major restoration of the degrading roads in Shepley Industrial estate in Manchester.
We spoke to Declan Marshall, Director of ADJ for the lowdown.
Declan told us “Our client approached us wanting to carry out some repair works to the circulation roads on an industrial estate in Manchester.
“The roads on the site had suffered quite badly from the severe winter and needed repairing.
“The entrance road was in a very poor condition and needed urgent attention.”
Declan continued “Our client had financial constraints on how much they could spend on the repairs so ADJ Surfacing carried out a detailed free of charge condition survey highlighting which areas were in the greatest need of repair.
“We then produced quotes with different options for isolated pothole repairs or more wide scale resurfacing works.”
And the solution?
“Having discussed the condition of the site with our client they opted for our recommendations.” Declan followed up.
“This consisted of a combination of isolated repairs with full resurfacing to the entrance road which had already been ‘patch’ repaired several times.
“Although costlier, this combined solution represented much better value for money and would last a great deal longer than isolated repairs.
“We liaised with both the client and site tenants prior to commencement ensuring all parties were informed of the works which were carried out over a weekend to minimise disruption.
“The main entrance road was resurfaced with Aggregate Industries Superflex 10 surface course.”
